How can we stop such horrendous monstrosity?

Rape victim, 13, stoned to death

A 13-year-old girl who said she had been raped has been stoned to death in Somalia after being accused of adultery by Islamic militants.

Dozens of men stoned Aisha Ibrahim Duhulow to death on October 27 in a stadium packed with 1,000 spectators in the southern port city of Kismayo, Amnesty International and Somali media reported, citing witnesses.

The Islamic militia in charge of Kismayo had accused her of adultery after she reported that three men had raped her, the rights group said.

I really don’t know. Some distant day in the future, I hope that through education and rationality such horrifying acts can be eliminated. But helplessly reading about the terrible injustice committed by raving lunatics is enormously depressing. She was just a child. A thousand spectators in a stadium 😦 It makes you lose hope in humanity.

  1. I’m glad there are people thinking in changing this, because I also consider this makes me lose hope in humanity. I just don’t know if we are humans any more: that’s what produces me this lack of outrage.

  2. We should all be horrified and angry at evil. This is why God will right all the wrongs. He is our only hope to punish the wicked, agree?

Instead of waiting for a God to punish the wicked, I think it would be infinitely better if we can work on spreading humanism and rationality to prevent such incidents from occurring.

  4. Prevent such incidents from occurring? So then you live in a box? How does humanity go about eradicating evil then? How do you convince something very irrational (evil) with rationality? Do you really think Michael Jackson pr priests will just stop if we ask them to? Evil needs righteous justice agree?

  5. By educating people and telling them not to believe in superstitious nonsense. If you look at most modern democracies, you don’t see such reprehensible acts committed by the majority, or those that are in power. This is because the populace is aware and taught about things like human rights and equality. In most cases, the judicial system is based on a rational-legal foundation which respects human rights and not on some arbitrary religious text like the sharia laws.

There will always be individuals who perform vile acts. We must have a system in place in which these individuals can be caught and prevented from doing further damage.

Yea, I agree. It’s called hell and damnation for the wicked. Our only hope is that God, Jesus Christ, will come back and establish His Kingdom here on earth. Repent and trust in Jesus today before it’s too late.

If that’s what you want to believe.

Some people are more interested in taking a definitive action now and making a difference, rather than waiting for some all-powerful being to do something.

Repent and trust in Jesus today before it’s too late.

No thank you. Like many people, I too can differentiate between reality and fiction.
